M E E T E M I L Y N N

I grew up in Eagle Mountain, Utah with parents who are Deaf and three siblings. I am happily married to my sweet husband Michael. Growing up, I wanted to be a lot of things and I changed my mind a lot, but one thing always stayed constant.
I wanted to be a wife, a mother, and I wanted to work with children.

I am graduating from Brigham Young University with my Bachelor's degree in
Human Development and a Child Life Emphasis. I have very much enjoyed
my education to this point and plan to continue my formal education. I have also learned that life is our greatest teacher. Along the way, my education
combined with personal experience has taught me a lot about how health and wellness are a combination of many factors.

My purpose is to help God's children understand and develop health and wellness within the unit where we were meant to learn, love, and grow most.

WHY BLIZZARD HOUSE?

I married into the Bleazard family during the Fall of 2020. I was overjoyed to be marrying my sweetheart, and taking my husband's last name was something I always knew I wanted to do. Despite this, I hadn't much anticipated the experience of replacing my maiden name for his last name and the realization that a whole new family came along with it.

I have learned a lot from having "two families". Both of my families have shown me that families are not perfect and that they require a lot of work and effort from each family member.

Most importantly, I have learned that they are extended family now, because when we got married we started our own little family. And while it's just the two of us right now, I am grateful for the opportunities to grow and learn together.

The name Bleazard is one that many people struggle to know how to pronounce. The best way we've found to explain it is that the "e" is silent. It kinda sounds a bit like "blizzard" though, if you say it fast enough, so in honor of the beginning of our own little family, the Blizzard House was created.
